Well much has happened since my last post. My girls came down for a weekend and we went to the KC Zoo and while we were there we rode on a camel. We also took some great pictures of some of the animals there.
Beth and I also received some last minute tickets to the Kansas City Speedway. Beth thought it would be better if she stayed home and rested, so I invited a friend of mine from work.
As for the truck that is on hold for probably the rest of this year due to other projects that I want to take on instead. Plus we have a lot of small trips in store during the rest of this year.
Also my best friend and his family came down for the weekend and we went to a Kansas City T-Bones game and had a nice time there as well.
We also went to Bransen Missouri and saw Andy Williams and Glen Campbell in concert. This was a big event for Beth and these are two of her favorites and she wanted to see them before something happened to them or her. Being younger I did not know all of the songs but knew more than I thought. We stayed in a lovely hotel, the Gazebo Inn and our room was called the Victorian Suite. It was a very nice room with a jacuzzi tub and a king size bed. I called the day before we left and asked them to have a dozen carnations (Beth’s favorites) delivered to our room. We arrived a little early and during check-in I later learned that the flowers were sitting in plain site when we walked in and neither of us noticed. Eventually we were allowed into our room since it had been stayed in the night before. Beth still didn’t notice the flowers and began to talk about the room. I kept glancing towards the flowers and then she noticed and was very excited. For dinner we went to the Blue Moon Grille and Adam was our waiter, he did a fine job and was very patient with us. The food is good and reasonable for a tourist area. After dinner we walked over to the theater. I bought Beth some souvenirs and she bought herself a few signed CD’s. The next morning we headed out for some geocaching (something new for us) and found all 4 we planned on looking for. We met a fellow geocacher (MarkandSons) and spent a few minutes with him talking about “caching”. Then we headed back to KC,KS. About half the way home Beth looked at me and asked if something was wrong and I said that I was sad. She asked why and I said that we had forgotten the flowers. We called the Gazebo Inn and Amber (who called in the flower order for us) answered the phone. We explained what had happened and asked if she would take a picture of them for us. She said she would, and will email it to us. (Amber, if you ever read this entry you are a complete sweetie and we love you for the effort.)
Well time for pictures of the last 3 months.
