Well a few things have happened since the last post. If I didn’t work so much I might have more to write about. We last left off in June. So that leaves July, August, September.
A lot of July was spent Geocaching, this involves using a GPS some coordinates and some time. As of now we have 47 finds, not a lot overall but this is a nice “hobby” because you can choose when/where to do it. We have run into some interesting ones. There was a plastic squirrel mounted to the side of a tree, a small canister that had to be pulled by a string as it was in a hole in a tree. Lots of canisters are army ammo boxes. I would go on but you can read the Geocaching site if and when you want. Trust me it is fun and the places you discover may surprise you.
Then Aug came along, this is a busy month for us, lots of birthdays and anniversaries, mine included. Well we had to pass financially on going to California to my grandmothers 80th which was a letdown but understandable. The upside was that I got to see my girls and celebrate one of their birthdays and mine. Some Geocaching happened this month as well but not as much.
Now Sept., this is the month to start preparing for winter, why so early you ask? It’s simple, the weather can change and before you know it, your trying to make sure your water line heaters are working and it’s 30 degrees outside. So the extra hoses are rolled and drained, the roof has been cleaned and checked, stabilized the RV. Next will make sure the outside faucet is wrapped well, put the awning away, cover the grill, rake leaves, bring in plants, skirt RV, clean out water heater (remove calcium), replace water filter and cover AC unit on roof, that should do it, now to the cars.
October, another birthday month for us, my partner Beth and my oldest daughter. This month the girls are coming down for the weekend so we can celebrate the birthdays. Beth and I are also going to St. Louis to visit her family. When this is done it will be Halloween my favorite holiday. Screeeeeecccccchhhhh
