So I am out on FB and see this ad that reads “Women Seeking 45+ Men.” Now my brain tells me that it’s targeted at me for various demographic reasons. My comedic brain tells me that there are women who are looking for 45 men. HA! I say, 1 or 2 maybe but 45 never.

Life is good, I took my motorcycle class and passed (tied for 2nd place in the riding test), missed 2 questions on the written. Now I have to take the state written and I am GOLDEN.

I have joined SCCA and will begin a second life as a Autocross racer. We attended our first event at the Wentzville GM plant. (What better use for a parking lot). This was sponsored by the Boone Trail Corvette Club and I think there did a nice job. There was only about 12-15 cars but the weather was great and I am pysch’d to try this sport. In order to be in this sport you must have a Snell Approved helmet, turns out my motorcycle helmet is NOT Snell approved, only DOT which is a lower classification of safety. (What? Our gov’t isn’t concerned with it’s citizens having only minimal safety, surely this can’t be true….. :-) ) So I am off to find the proper equipment so I can participate.

As for the car I will use, well I am going to use the Gene and see how it goes. I do have a backup plan which is to use Lil’ Bit (my other car). I wished I had looked closer at this a few years ago, using my Lincoln Town Car would have been hilarious.

So this is where I have been and what I have been doing

Ok rants, my GF and I often have discussions about politics and other BS going on in our country.

Education: The teachers union – needs to go, period no debate, end of sentence.
For too long it’s been about the teachers, “o were so under paid, o we have to spend our own money for our class rooms, blah blah blah”. Teachers make good money, plus if they want to make more, they simply spend their summers taking more classes. It doesn’t even matter what they take as long as it counts. So you can be a science teacher and take basket weaving, pass the class get a pay increase (NOT Raise). Here is where the misnomer is, there are 2 scales used when your a teacher, one is the pay scale (paid for what you know, err education you have achieved), AND salary. So while they might be whining about not getting a raise they are still making more money every year. A motivated person can be a teacher and quickly get to 50 – 75k much faster than you or I. Now the problem with this system is that the teachers union (one of the most powerful) has found it’s way to regulate/manipulate everything, school lunches, curricula etc. Remember that “No Child Left Behind” crap that was spewed out? Well when we dumb down classes so that “everyone passes and feels good about themselves”, we the union says look what a great job we did, our test scores are up so Mr. Gov’t we want more money to continue this great work. Think about it does you childs school have any gifted kids classes? probably not, but I bet they have classed for the “dummies” and they hired on either a teachers aide or another teacher to help each one of those kids. People don’t want the truth but “dummies” rarely make enough improvements, spend the money on the gifted kids, one of them may cure cancer.

ADA – Another bad program for the most part.
I know a story about a school district (roughly 300 students total) that was building a new high school as they had outgrown the previous one. There was 1 disabled child in the whole district and the current school built in the 50′s was a 2 story building. The child had one class upstairs and everyday either kids or teachers would carry this child upstairs for his one class. This child was on his last year in school as he would be in the new high school the next year. Now because the parents complained the school had to reallocate 35,000 dollars to put in an elevator for this one child. So they had to take from other areas of the budget to make this happen.

Now before you get your panties in a bind I am not against people with disabilities, my mother spent the better part of her last 10 years in a wheel chair so I have seen the issues.

I know of another story about a business owner who had a little restaurant in a strip mall, a handicapped person visited the establishment and complained that the door was to hard to open. They went on saying that it should be one of those automatic “sensor” doors. Well the person complained and ADA came to the business and made a big stink of making the change. Now there were plenty of customers and employees that would be happy to open the door for this person. No don’t give me that “well they feel ashamed needing help” or “it’s makes them less of a person”. Have you seen someone struggle with opening a door? Have ya helped them? Did they get pissy and bitch you out? No they didn’t, heck I think they almost have it better, when was the last time a non-disabled person helped you? NEXT TO NEVER I am sure.

So here is where I draw the line and hold on to your panties again. Handicapped people do not spend money, they are on disability (SSI) for the most part so their income is limited. Now I agree that State and Federal buildings should be disabled friendly or offices related to State and Federal agencies (license bureau, parks dept (restrooms etc). After that it should be the the land developer to decide if they want or can make it friendly, as for strip malls it should be the responsibility of the mall owner not the lessee. What’s next a revolt of disabled people going door to door complaining that they can’t enter your house?

People need to get over themselves, you are not the only one on the planet. Yes it sucks to be handicapped whether it be your legs, arms, speech, sight, hearing etc. So go get your “special” blue parking tag, that’s all I am willing to give and all I want when I am in that situation.

Done.

Well I have been busy the past month.

Well on top of this I have been seeing a lady named Kim who I have really enjoy being with, where this is going I can only hope forward but only time will tell. Well my next adventure is taking me and Kim to California to see my family..

I was thinking about mail as I walked out the door to retrieve it. There was nothing there and then I thought about not having any bills. Which led me to think about Fee Mail (Bills) and then female. This led me to the secret message that females will cost you money. We males we just arrive. Then of course then there is junk male so their must be junk female (Fee Mail). Would junk female be an African-American woman? (They do have junk in their trunk)

I have thoughts like this all of the time. I have never met anyone who does this. Now if I mention that I do this, people can sometimes come up with something similar.

I had a lady contact me the other day, so we exchanged some chats and it turns out she lives maybe a mile away. Going only on pictures, she has a nice figure, looking at the rest of the photos I am not sure she is 47. I sent a few to a female friend of mine and said that she looked 67. I have to agree, some photos of her make her look really old. Who knows maybe she is one of those people who post a pic of them when they thought they looked good and felt obligated to post something more recent. Nothing has come with it, I may go out just to keep my skillz sharp. I only have a few hours and a couple of bucks to lose, no big deal.

Another lady I chatted with showed up online and we chatted briefly. She says that she has been seeing a guy for about a month and that it’s going good. Funny thing I believe we talked less than a month ago and no mention of seeing anyone. O well I never asked so she had no reason to mention anything.

On the topic of online dating, how far would you go to be on a legitimate dating site. I mean a site that you had to truly validate who you are. A site that had harsh repercussions for not replying to people if contacted.

I think to many people are “dating trolls”, people who created a profile (real or not) and just see what kinds of things can happen without really meeting.

Then there are the “dating party trolls”, these people either attend or primarily host events. When they or their “friends” host an event the same 5-20 people will always be there. They all hug and kiss, friendly like their in high school. Then there is the unfortunate people who come to these events who never get past being anyone of these “trolls” friends.

I am not bitter, nor have I had a bad experience I am just making observations that I believe to be the truth.

I had a date tonight, she was white, she wore these really nice silver shoes with rubber soles. She had on black leather pants and jacket. She let me polish her headlights, the next time I see her she said that she would let me polish her tail lights. I am looking forward to that.

Well I am tired c ya.

Well I got up, took a shower cleaned the bathroom, straightened out my room and striped the bed of it’s linens. Came down stairs and sent Becky a text message with a friendly greeting and asking her how I can access the Internet so I can print out my ticket. Well I had forgotten that while she is at work her phone doesn’t work. She arrived at about noon I put the last of my stuff away and headed to the car. We had some small chit chat along the way. We arrived at the airport and I got my stuff out. I told her that I had a wonderful time and that everything was great. We exchanged a quick kiss and she was in her car and gone. (Yes it felt like a hit and run)

The flight was uneventful, I landed walked out to be picked up and I can say that I enjoyed the 38 degree temperature while wearing shorts and a t-shirt. Tammy with Tim in tow picked me up and we decided to go to BWW’s for dinner.

End of trip.

Today we headed out to Jetty Beach per a recommendation of Becky’s co-worker. So we paid the $10 entrance/parking fee and drove in. We quickly found a place to park and began our trek to the beach. The overall beach is nothing all that spectacular as noted by Becky; I would have to second that statement. We saw a fair amount of dead jellyfish while walking along the beach. We then headed to the Jetty and saw a Norwegian Cruise Lines ship; I snapped a few of it as it is one of the next trips I hope to take this year. We saw a few sea turtles, after which we decided to go to Cocoa Beach.

Again we had to spend money to park at Cocoa Beach but at least there is more to see and do. We had lunch at the Cocoa Beach Pier, she had 3 cheese stuffed shrimp and a salad, while I had the fried shrimp and scallops. The food was decent, the drinks were good, she had 2 mango daiquiris’ and I had 2 banana flavored.

After lunch we took a walk out on the pier, you can enter for free if you show your food receipt we learned. Along the walk we saw some pelicans and some gulls of course I snapped a few pics. While we stood at the end of the pier, I noticed she was getting chilled, so I put my arms on her and stood extra close. I am not sure if I was making a difference so I eventually suggested that we head back. About half way across the pier she commented that is was much warmer, so we stopped and watched kids playing and people attempting to surf.

We then headed to the car and headed home, she offered up some other things to do but I knew she was tired from the weekend and I was feeling a little cooked as well. So we arrived back home and decided to watch some movies nothing notable, during this time she fell asleep for a short time. A while after she awoke she went into the kitchen and came back with some cheese and crackers and some Girl Scout cookies. We snacked on that off and on, then Two in a Half Men came on which was funny as usual. As soon as it was over she announced that she was going to bed and gave me a kiss and said good night. I stayed down for a short time and put everything away the best I knew how and headed up to my room. I did some pre-packing and then headed off to sleep.
